Dongan Hills takes its name from Thomas Dongan, colonial governor of New York in the 1680s, and today it is one of the East Shore's quieter rail-commuter neighborhoods. On November 25, the day before Thanksgiving, cannabis shoppers mark Green Wednesday, and Quality Control Dispensary's Victory Blvd store serves Dongan Hills with pickup and delivery. QCD will post its Green Wednesday offers in November. Until they are out, the store's daily deals are what to watch, and they give a fair picture of the menu heading into the holiday.
Routes North From Dongan Hills
The neighborhood spreads from the lower slopes of Todt Hill, across Richmond Road and the Staten Island Railway, toward Hylan Boulevard. By car, the most direct way to the store is to follow Richmond Road north to Clove Road, then take Clove up to Victory Boulevard. Dongan Hills is also in the Staten Island delivery area, which makes sense on a day when you may be juggling work, cooking and family arriving. If you commute through St. George on the ferry and the SIR, ordering online in the morning and scheduling delivery for when you get home is often easier than adding a stop. Walk-ins and order-ahead pickup are both welcome on Wednesday from 9am to 10pm. On the Staten Island menu, the number you see is the pre-tax price, with tax tacked on at checkout. Bring ID proving you are 21+.

Green Wednesday 2026 Deals Are Coming
We haven’t announced our Green Wednesday deals yet. They go live on this page closer to November 25. Both stores run deals every day, so you can start saving now.
Richmond Road, Midland Beach and the East Shore
Dongan Hills is a neighborhood of tree-lined streets and well-kept single-family houses on the slopes below Todt Hill. Richmond Road carries the local shops, delis and offices, while the Dongan Hills SIR station gives commuters a straight ride to the ferry. Cross Hylan Boulevard and the land flattens out toward Midland Beach and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Boardwalk, with Miller Field, the former Army airfield that is now ball fields within Gateway National Recreation Area, a little farther south in New Dorp. Like much of the East Shore, this is a place where Thanksgiving still centers on big family tables, Italian bakery boxes and relatives coming over the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge from Brooklyn. Neighbors up the slope can find their own page under Green Wednesday in Todt Hill.
Planning Around the Commute and the Company
Wednesday is still a workday for a lot of people, so the simplest plan is to handle your order before the holiday crunch. Browse the Staten Island menu early in the week, note what you want, and place the order Wednesday morning. If you are hosting a mixed crowd, keep cannabis away from the dinner itself and make clear what is infused. Offer it only to guests 21 and over who want it, and steer newcomers toward a low dose with time to see how it feels before having more. A sealed pre-roll pack or low-dose tin can be a thoughtful thank-you for whoever is cooking, provided you know they partake. Green Wednesday pricing is announced in November; for now, current Staten Island deals show what is available today.
