Plenty of Williamsburg apartments empty out for Thanksgiving, while others fill up with friends who stayed in the city. The Wednesday before, November 25, carries a second name, Green Wednesday, and dispensaries mark it with holiday deals. QCD's Green Wednesday lineup is still to come; it gets announced in November. Worth knowing before you plan: QCD's Brooklyn shop is on Coney Island Ave down by Brighton Beach, about as far south as Brooklyn goes, so the right approach from Bedford Avenue or the Southside is to order ahead and pick up once.
The Long Way Down from the L and the J
No train runs directly from Williamsburg to Brighton Beach, so expect at least one transfer. From the Bedford Avenue L you can ride into Manhattan and pick up the Q at Union Square, which runs all the way to Brighton Beach. The J from Marcy Avenue crosses the Williamsburg Bridge to Canal Street, where the Q also stops. Either way, the store is a short walk from Brighton Beach station. By car, the usual path is the BQE to the Prospect Expressway and down Ocean Parkway. The Brooklyn delivery ZIPs that QCD publishes stop well short of Williamsburg, so count on pickup or a store visit, and run your address through the delivery page to see if it happens to be covered. Wednesday hours are 8am to 11pm, with tax already folded into Brooklyn prices.

Green Wednesday 2026 Deals Are Coming
We haven’t announced our Green Wednesday deals yet. They go live on this page closer to November 25. Both stores run deals every day, so you can start saving now.
Northside, Southside, and Everything Between
Williamsburg is really several communities sharing one name. The Northside still shows its Polish and Italian roots around Our Lady of Mount Carmel, while the Southside, known as Los Sures, has been home to Puerto Rican and Dominican families for decades, with Grand Street and Graham Avenue carrying that history. Along Kent Avenue, Domino Park and the East River waterfront frame the newer towers, and McCarren Park marks the line with Greenpoint. Bedford Avenue ties it together with shops, bars and restaurants from the L station down toward Broadway. Thanksgiving week touches every part of it differently, from family cooking on the Southside to friend dinners in shared apartments off Bedford.
Friendsgiving Planning, Williamsburg Style
If you are hosting a Friendsgiving in a walk-up, sort the cannabis part out days ahead. Browse the QCD Brooklyn menu, place a pickup order, and make the trip south once instead of improvising Wednesday night. Guests will have different tolerances, so a low-dose gummy or a mild pre-roll keeps things comfortable for people who rarely partake. Encourage anyone new to take a small amount and give it time. A sealed tin of something nice is an easy gift for a 21+ host who already enjoys it. Before November's Green Wednesday announcement, the current Brooklyn deals are the place to watch. Keep everything at home, never in shared hallways or on the street.
About Williamsburg
Williamsburg sits along the East River in north Brooklyn, connected to the Lower East Side by the Williamsburg Bridge. Once a center of industry, with the Domino sugar refinery as its best-known plant, it became known from the 1990s onward for artists, music venues and restaurants. Bedford Avenue is its main street, McCarren Park is the backyard it shares with Greenpoint, and Peter Luger, the steakhouse near the bridge, has served the neighborhood since the 1880s.
Responsible Use: Cannabis affects everyone differently. Start with a low dose and increase gradually. Must be 21+ to purchase. Quality Control Dispensary products are NYS-licensed and lab-tested.
