French Protestant settlers known as Huguenots farmed this part of the South Shore in the 1600s, and the neighborhood still carries their name along with its SIR station and main avenue. Green Wednesday, the cannabis shopping day the day before Thanksgiving, falls on November 25 in 2026. Quality Control Dispensary serves Huguenot from 1172 Victory Blvd, its Staten Island store, with delivery to Huguenot homes plus pickup and walk-in. Green Wednesday deals are announced in November; daily deals are available until then.
Huguenot Avenue, the Parkway and the SIR
Huguenot Avenue is the neighborhood's main north-south road, linking Hylan Boulevard and Amboy Road with the Korean War Veterans Parkway. For the drive to the store, the parkway is the usual start: north to the West Shore Expressway, east on the Staten Island Expressway, then up to Victory Boulevard. The Huguenot station on the Staten Island Railway is handy for the ferry but not for this errand, since the line runs along the East Shore rather than toward Victory. Given the trip, plenty of Huguenot households choose delivery, which covers the neighborhood from the Victory Blvd store; the person receiving it must be 21 or older and show ID. Walk-in and pickup hours on Wednesday are 9am to 10pm. Prices on our Staten Island menu are before tax, and the tax gets added when you check out.

Green Wednesday 2026 Deals Are Coming
We haven’t announced our Green Wednesday deals yet. They go live on this page closer to November 25. Both stores run deals every day, so you can start saving now.
Wolfe's Pond, Raritan Bay and an Old Stone Church
Huguenot sits close to Raritan Bay, and Wolfe's Pond Park on its southern edge pairs a freshwater pond with a sandy beach facing the bay and wooded trails behind it. On Amboy Road, the stone Reformed Church of Huguenot Park, designed by architect Ernest Flagg in the 1920s, is a city landmark and one of the most recognizable buildings on this end of the island. The rest of the neighborhood is mostly single-family houses from the 1960s onward, including newer developments built as the far South Shore filled in. Prince's Bay is just to the south and Annadale to the north. Thanksgiving week here is quiet and family-centered, with the bay and the park offering a place for a cold walk once the dishes are done.
Hosting on the Far South Shore
Living this far down the island, a little advance planning saves a long drive on the busiest evening of the week. Pick out what you need from the Staten Island menu a few days before, and place your order on Tuesday or early Wednesday. If you are hosting, plan for mixed company: keep cannabis products sealed and separate from the food, tell people clearly what is infused, and only share with adults 21 and older who want to join. A low dose is the right place to start for anyone new or out of practice. A sealed product can also be a good gift for a host you know partakes. The Green Wednesday lineup comes out in November, and until then QCD's Staten Island deals show what is on offer.
About Huguenot
Huguenot is a far South Shore residential neighborhood, named for the French Huguenot settlers who arrived in the seventeenth century. Wolfe's Pond Park and the Raritan Bay shoreline lie to the south, and the Reformed Church of Huguenot Park is a landmark on Amboy Road. Huguenot Avenue and the Huguenot SIR station connect it to the rest of the island. See our Huguenot page, or Green Wednesday in Tottenville farther south.
Responsible Use: Cannabis affects everyone differently. Start with a low dose and increase gradually. Must be 21+ to purchase. Quality Control Dispensary products are NYS-licensed and lab-tested.
